What do the child safe standards mean?

Target audience: Leadership, Child Safety Officers, Managers, Staff and Volunteers
How well does your organisation understand the child safe standards and how they apply?
The child safe standards (or national principles) apply to most organisations that deliver programs and services to children and young people.
They are underpinned by a child-rights, strengths-based approach and are designed to be flexible so that all sectors that engage with children and young people, and organisations of different sizes, can implement them.
They differ slightly across Australia.
What will we learn?
This helpful session demystifies the standards/principles, unpacks each one and provides practical examples of how organisations are to implement them. Participants will workshop the standards one by one.
